The hunt for British Big Cats attracts far more newspaper column-inches than any other cryptozoological subject. There are so many of them now that we feel that they should be archived by us in some way, so we should have a go at publishing a regular round-up of the stories as they come in.

3 years ago, I looked out my back door window and spotted a huge German-shepard sized wild, cat-like animal with large prominent paws and a short 8 inch tail. I estimated the size at around 70 pounds. I have a picture of the animal sitting down sunning him or herself. The animal re-appeared several times, but I have not seen it in around 2 years. It was not aggressive.
I contacted the CT animal control authorities, but they said it was a bobcat, but it was far too large for this to be correct. They advised just to leave it alone and it would probably go away which it did. Anyone want a picture?
