Despite the headline, this cat's ears are not large enough for a serval as some have suggested. The ocelli markings running back from the eyes are quite clear in this video, and are often pronounced in hybrid savannah cats, (though not always, this feature actually comes from the tabby gene and can dissipate after a few generations). These markings are never seen on pure servals to any great extent. The long hind limbs, compared with the noticeably shorter forelimbs, are also a characteristic of savannah cats. A serval's tail is noticeably short compared to its body length; in savannah cats the introduction of domestic blood has encouraged a lengthening of the tail, which can be seen in the video.
