I think we've seen this cat here in Riverview ....my mother-in-law spotted it on our small ranch several days ago....and from her description of this creature, it was both too big to be a house cat and too small to be a panther or jaguar....I estimate it stood between 14 and 18 inches at the shoulder ....and it was all black. IMHO, this was someone's 'exotic' pet (be it legal or otherwise) that either escaped and was never recovered, or....the animal got to be too much for them to handle and they just let it 'escape'....yeah, like that's never happened here in Florida before (python, anyone?).

IMHO, this cat was probably someone's 'exotic' pet that escaped or was too much for them to handle and they just let it 'escape'. Just a thought.
