The Beast of Bodmin Moor: The Beast of Bodmin Moor is the iconic mysterious big cat believed to be prowling around the wilds of the Westcountry. Devon and Cornwall Police have received reports detailing more than 200 sightings of big cats, a Freedom of Information request revealed. In 1994, the Government ordered an investigation into big cat sightings on Bodmin Moor, which was inconclusive.

Essex, 2012: police helicopters were scrambled to the tiny village of St Osyth when it was feared a lion was on the loose. Police concluded pictures were a big cat or dog.
Wednesfield, West Midlands, 2010: A big cat thought to be a puma was photographed in a back garden.

Buckinghamshire, 2009: One of the clearest shows of a big cat was provided by an electrician who saw it sitting on a fence near a woodland area
