The hunt for British Big Cats attracts far more newspaper column-inches than any other cryptozoological subject. There are so many of them now that we feel that they should be archived by us in some way, so we should have a go at publishing a regular round-up of the stories as they come in.

UK SIGHTINGS: Chelmer Village resident 'very afraid' as 'big cat' spotted in Chelmsford
THE latest sighting of a big cat in Essex as it darted through the undergrowth in rural Chelmsford left a woman terrified as she drove home on a summer's evening.
The animal was spotted at 7.20pm in Brook End Road South, Chelmer Village, by a resident who lives nearby as she was heading out for a walk with her husband.
As she looked out of the window she noticed the animal appear from the bushes and decided to get out of the car to investigate.
"Just as I turned right into that road, and when I was level with the two houses on the right, I suddenly said, 'oh my goodness, look at that' to my husband.
